We invite you to join our CSA. CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. A CSA is an agreement between a farm and a customer, or member. The CSA model was invented by a Black farmer and professor in Alabama, in the 1960's. Check out how Dr. Whatley pioneered this incredibly useful structure for farmers and eaters. CSA's are popular around the country because they provide benefit to both the farmer and the member. In short, it's a subscription or membership buying club that's mutually beneficial. Here's some more info:
Good for the Farmers, Good for the Members
When you join Nightfall Farm, we benefit because we have a reliable customer base and income while we are raising the animals. We also get to help connect a community of people to our farm.
You benefit because you have a steady supply of healthy, pasture-raised meat at the best prices we can offer. You will also have access to the farm - it's always fun when members come to visit, and folks often bring kids or grandkids to come meet the animals or help with chores. We are happy to offer guidance on cooking with pasture-raised meat. And of course, you will know where your food is coming from. We're open to other ideas, so feel free to suggest other member benefits.
Most importantly, when you join Nightfall Farm, you are investing in the farming practices you believe in: a farm that’s striving to care for the land, raise happy animals, and sell healthy food to Hoosiers.

How It Works:
- To join, pick a meat share that fits your needs, and contact us to ask any detailed questions. You can sign up today by clicking here.
- Shares start in October and April, but we can get you started almost any time as long as we have the inventory!
- Members pay for their shares upfront. You can think of buying a share as an investment in your farm. Paying upfront helps us cover our costs as we’re raising your food. In return, we offer first dibs on the best cuts, sausages, etc - and the cheapest possible prices on our meat for members. For example, buying a chicken share is cheaper than buying one chicken per month at the farmers’ market. You're also investing in our farming practices, and how we're caring for the animals, the land, and our community.
- You will pick up your meat each month. We have pick-up sites in Madison, Columbus, and Seymour.
- Members build a connection to their food and our farm. We value that our members learn about the changing seasons and cycles of our farm, and feel like our farm is their farm.
