CSA Share Details
Chicken Share: $130 for six month share
Turkey Share: $75
Pork Shares: $215 for six month share
Egg Shares: $36 for one dozen per month, $72 for two dozen per month, etc.
Short Term Shares: Lamb or Turkey for 10% off retail prices
We're offering two special "Short Term Shares" for folks who want to mix things up (or just try a share for the first time):
- Our prices are based on 4.5 lb chickens.
- The actual chicken in your share may weigh slightly more or less each month, but we'll make sure you get the amount of meat you paid for by the end of your share.
Turkey Share: $75
- We will have fresh whole turkeys available for Thanksgiving, or frozen for Christmas/Hanukkah/Solstice/etc
- Members pay $75 for a ~15-19lb turkey...that's roughly 12% off retail.
- If you’re interested in a significantly smaller or larger turkey for Thanksgiving, just let us know and we'll do our best. Typically, we have plenty of larger turkeys - and a very limited supply of smaller whole turkeys. If your turkey is larger than 19lbs, we ask you to pay the difference.
Pork Shares: $215 for six month share
- This is the best way to ensure your pork supply for the coming months. We anticipate having very limited pork available for sale at the farmer's markets. CSA members get first dibs, and may get all of our pork this year.
- Members receive approximately 24 pounds of pork over the course of a six month share. On average, expect about 4 lbs of meat per month.
- Every member receives a variety of pork cuts over the course of their share, including premium and standard cuts. Consider it a tour de pig, without any odd cuts.
- Shares typically include the following, over the course of a six month share: shoulder roast, pork chops, ham, bacon, a variety of loose and linked sausages, fresh ground pork, and ribs. Yum.
Egg Shares: $36 for one dozen per month, $72 for two dozen per month, etc.
- Want to be sure you'll have good eggs all year? Then this is the share for you.
- Members tell us how many dozen they want per month, and we bring them to pick up...it's as simple as that!
- Eggs are $6/dozen. CSA members always come first; fulfilling our members' shares often means we don't have any eggs left over for retail sales at the farmer's market. We've doubled our laying hen flock so that we can try meet customers demand at the farmer's market - but CSA members can plan on their egg supply.

Frequently Asked Questions
I want to join for the first time? How does the CSA thing work?
We would be delighted to have you join our CSA - and we want to make it easy to try something new. Let us know what questions you have. Signing up is quick and easy - just click here to sign up!
When do shares start?
Shares start in October and April. If you're ready to join the Nightfall Farm CSA, let us know - we like to start by answering your questions and making sure we have shares available for you! Once you've touched base, you can click here to sign up for your shares.
What if it's not October or April?
Fear not: we can still get you good meat! Just contact us, and we'll double check our inventory. We'll set up a shorter share for you, just to get you on the same cycle as everyone else.
How do I renew my share?
We'll remind you by email and you can pay at CSA pickup or by mail. One member likened this to her car insurance: she budgets for paying in Spring and Fall each year, and she knows she's covered!
Can you talk to me about quality and cost?
We firmly believe in raising animals on pasture, caring for the land, and selling meat locally. These practices increase the amount of time and cost for us, which is why the price of our meat is higher than conventional meat in national, grocery store options. That said, we know that our meat is higher quality than conventional grocery store options, too.
We recognize that you have other choices when buying meat, and we stand behind our product and practices. When you join the Nightfall Farm CSA, you are investing in these practices. You are also buying delicious, high quality, healthy meat. We appreciate that your dollars keep us in the field, farming for you.
We’re looking forward to raising food for you. Don’t hesitate to contact us to ask questions.
